How Much Caffeine is in Green Tea?

The USDA states that 1 cup (245 grams) of brewed green tea contains approximately 29.4 milligrams of caffeine.

However, it’s not quite that simple.

Since tea is a natural product, the amount of caffeine in green tea can vary dramatically depending on natural biodiversity as well as the environment the tea was grown in. Some types or even specific harvests of tea can have a drastic variance.
