Today’s review: Xiaguan “Gold Ribbon Tuo” Raw Pu-erh Tea
Amount of Tea: 7 Grams
Brewing Vessel: 120ml Clay Teapot
Type of Water: Bottled Water (Reverse Osmosis)
Rinse Time: 10 Seconds
Steep Time: 20 Seconds – 20 Seconds – 25 Seconds
I first noticed light notes of apricot, followed by peat moss, Tupelo honey, and tobacco.
Hearty, earthy, but not overbearing.
Moderate bitterness and slightly sharp.
The flavor lingers in the mouth a while.
There’s some character to it, but there’s nothing strange going on in the flavor profile.
It would be a solid daily-drinker.
Flavor notes: Apricot, peat moss, Tupelo honey, earth, and tobacco.
