My first thoughts is that the flavor perhaps isn’t quite as vibrant as some other Liming teas I have tried.

The initial notes are tree stem and damp wood.

Some light sweet floral notes are present too, with a light bit of camphor.

Later on, it becomes grassy and brash.

This tea was supposedly stored in Kunming, and well, it tastes like it too. I don’t consider that to be a bad thing, but it’s worth noting that this tea does not have very pronounced age notes despite being manufactured in 2007.

Although this is an enjoyable tea, for example, I much prefer the Liming Golden Peacock tea, which in my opinion is quite a step up in quality compared to this one.
