Farmer Leaf Jingmai Shengtai Raw Puer Tea Review

Today I am reviewing a Jingmai Shengtai raw puer tea from Farmer Leaf.

Vintage: Autumn, 2021
Origin: Jingmai, China


I brewed this tea using a small Yixing teapot and standard bottled water.

First Steep

Steeped for 20 seconds.

Good flavor for a first steep.

Fruity, floral, with a bright tang, almost like an orange marmalade.

Second Steep

Steeped for 25 seconds.

A bit brash and green.

This is noticeably more bitter than the first steep.

This tea would likely benefit from a few years of aging to smooth it out and add a layer of complexity to the flavor profile.

Third Steep

Steeped for 30 seconds.

Consistent flavor, but a little rough on the stomach.
