    Chenpi: The Definition and Meaning

    Chenpi, also spelled “chen pi”, is a traditional Chinese ingredient made from dried tangerine peels, which are then aged for a number of years.

    Culinary Uses

    • Flavor Enhancer: Chenpi adds a unique citrus aroma and a slightly bitter taste to various dishes. It’s commonly used in soups, stews, and sauces in some regions of the world.
    • Confectionery: Often incorporated into sweets and desserts, it imparts a fragrant citrus note.
