According to Fox Carolina (link is no longer active), customers in North and South Carolina will receive a chance to receive free tea from Bojangles. After the North Carolina Tar Heels and the South Carolina Gamecocks football game on December 31st, the winner will be decided based upon which team wins.
After that, customers in the winning state will be able to go to any Bojangles location and ask for a complementary cup of their Legendary Iced Tea.
“The only thing tastier than our Legendary Iced Tea is when it’s free and enjoyed after a big win,” stated Jackie Woodward, who is the chief brand and marketing officer for Bojangles. “We’re excited to have the battle of the states with the Gamecocks and Tar Heels in our hometown for a big bowl game and can’t wait to celebrate with the winning state!”
