Despite tea being of Chinese origin, tea holds a special place in English history.

By their standards, it’s hard to imagine anything more English then a good cup of tea.

Even the Royal Family is known to enjoy a good cuppa.

Although they are often a bit secretive about their preferences, Grant Harrold, a prior Royal Family butler for Prince Charles between the years of 2004 and 2011 has recently revealed to the public how the Royal Family enjoys their tea.

    Table of Contents

    • Queen of England

    Queen of England

“Assam and Earl Grey are her favorites” – Grant Harrold.

Although, he goes on to mention that she never adds milk first.

Grant said that Prince Charles has a very strict set of rules regarding his tea.

“Water must always be heated to 70C for green tea, and 100C for English Breakfast.” – Grant Harrold

“He and Camilla must be big fans as they served afternoon tea at their wedding. – Grant Harrold

    Kate Middleton
