Karkade (Arabic كركديه, scientific Hibiscus sabdariffa L., English: Roselle) is the Arabic name for the common hibiscus plant, but is often used to describe the tea infused from hibiscus flowers as well. Hibiscus tea has an intense red color and is a very popular beverage in Egypt and Sudan, all though it is now drank throughout the world.
