I don’t really have much information on this tea except that Andrew from Liquid Proust has been repurchasing this tea since 2017.

Tea: GABA Oolong
I decided to brew this tea in a small glass pitcher using distilled water and strained through a stainless steel strainer.
I then rinsed the tea for 5 seconds in hot water.
Steeped for 30 seconds.
A strange sweetness. People say this flavor is often akin to sweet potato, and I would find it hard to disagree, although I would say it’s probably more of a yam note.
Notes of almond, straw, yam, white peach, and cream.
Steeped for 40 seconds.
Some green vegetation notes have developed.
A bit of bitterness has appeared as well.
There also seems to be a slight tang to the flavor profile, but it’s strange, because it still has a distinct underlying yam-like sweetness.
Steeped for 50 seconds..
This steep is a little lighter in flavor then the previous steeps, but it’s still good to drink.
I haven’t had any other GABA oolong teas to compare this to, but it certainly has a unique taste.
