Hokumei Tea

Hokumei is a cultivar of tea that was developed in 1967 by the Saitama Tea Experiment Station in Japan. It was created by crossbreeding Sayamamidori and no. 5507, and was later registered as Norin No. 43 and given the name Hokumei.

Hokumei has a slightly later harvest time compared to the Yabukita cultivar, but it also has a higher resistance to pests.
