Baozhong tea, also known as Pouchong tea, is a type of lightly oxidized oolong tea which originated in the Fujian Province of China but is now primarily produced in Taiwan.
The oxidation level of Baozhong tea is typically between 8% to 12%, which is lower than many other oolong teas, placing it somewhere between green tea and a more typical oolong in terms of oxidation and flavor.
Baozhong tea is known for its light, floral aroma and a somewhat mellow taste. The leaves of this tea are usually long and twisted, rather than rolled into balls or other shapes, as is common with many other styles of oolong teas.
Taking that into account, let’s take a look at some of the best Baozhong tea brands of the year.
