Bubble tea, also known as pearl milk tea or boba milk tea, is a popular Taiwanese drink that is made with sweetened tea, milk, and tapioca pearls. Here is a recipe for how to make bubble tea at home:

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup of water
    • 2 tablespoons of tapioca pearls
    • 1/2 cup of sugar
    • 4 tea bags or 4 teaspoons of loose leaf tea
    • 1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
    • Ice cubes

    Instructions

    1. In a small pot, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
    2. Add the tapioca pearls to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes, or until they are soft and translucent. If your tapioca pearls have their own directions, then feel free to follow those.
    3. Drain the tapioca pearls and transfer them to a bowl of cold water to cool.
    4. In a separate pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
    5. Add the sugar to the boiling water and stir until it has dissolved.
    6. Add the tea bags or loose leaf tea to the pot and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the desired strength of the tea.
    7. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea from the pot and let it cool to room temperature.
    8. In a blender, combine the cooled tea, milk, and a few ice cubes. Blend until the ice is crushed and the mixture is smooth.
    9. Pour the tea mixture into a tall glass and add the tapioca pearls.
    10. Serve the bubble tea immediately and enjoy!

Note: You can adjust the sweetness of the bubble tea by adding more or less sugar to the tea mixture. You can also experiment with different types of tea and milk to find the combination that you like best.
